Contest: Spot PROBA2 in the sky
Who will be able to spot PROBA2 and put it on a movie or picture?
The Rockot will be launched at 02:50:51 Belgian time. The separation of PROBA2 from the last stage of the spacecraft takes place in the morning at 05:50:06 Belgian time. Soon afterwards, the satellite will fly over Europe and radio-contact from Redu will be made. Some preliminary estimates on the orbit are available.
The contest starts as soon as PROBA2 is launched and ends at 24:00 Belgian time, November 13, 2009.
The recordings that we receive before 08:00 Belgian time, November 2, 2009 through the ftp-server, will be shown during the press event that takes place that day. These recordings will become a news item on this website, the SIDC-website and the STCE-website.
On November 18, 2009, during the Sixth European Space Weather Week, the SWAP-LYRA team presents ’PROBA2: the first ESA space weather mission’ to the space weather community. Your contributions will get special attention.
All pictures/movies we receive will be posted on this PROBA2 science Centre website.
